Men of Honor (Feat. Panama Jackson)

First, all solidarity to the students protesting across the country. We're seeing some truly horrifying things but the strength and conviction is what's needed. The kids are holding it down and we need to do the same for them.

With that said, we're back after a few live shows with the amazing Panama Jackson (The Grio) to talk about what may very well be the last good movie Cuba Gooding Jr. ever made, Men of Honor.

Also starring Robert De Niro, it tells the true story of the first Black master diver, Carl Brashear. Panama asks if this even qualifies as a white savior movie, we get into the deleted ending as well as some quality Tubi picks.

Panama is someone we've been fans of for a long time. From his days at The Root and Very Smart Brothers to his amazing podcast Dear Culture over at The Grio, he's always on top of what's happening in Black culture. Give him a follow @panamajackson on all the socials!

Many thanks to folks who joined us live in Brooklyn and Baltimore for our first two live shows! We have one more coming up at Caveat in NY on May 25th. Grab your tickets here to join us in person or on the livestream!
